From the mid 1980’s until 2011 John Galliano, the flamboyant, iconoclastic head designer at Dior, was considered one of the most important fashion designers in history. But in February 2011 a video emerged of Galliano spewing anti-Semitic slurs in a Parisian bar. He was fired by Dior, berated by the Jewish community, and ostracised from the fashion world. He lost everything. And then he tried to make amends.

Directed by Academy-Award-winning Kevin Macdonald and featuring candid interviews with Galliano and others, including Sidney Toledano, Kate Moss, Boris Cyrulnik, Penelope Cruz, and Charlize Theron, the film is not only the story of a troubled and talented man but also poses a question: do we ever truly know what’s going on inside our own minds?
