SCREENINGS

"#Couture, the New Queens of Haute" interprets the concept of haute couture in the modern sense, examining the prevailing trends among those young fashion designers who have already been labeled haute couture creators or still hope to earn this coveted title.

The film focuses on two young designers, Delphine Manivet and Iris van Herpen, who boldly combine traditional and modern in their creations, thus breaking the classic high fashion code.

Delphine Manivet launched the wedding dress collection in 2005, now at the forefront of young fashion designers who have given a new meaning to haute couture. The wedding dresses created by her represent modern design and are also suitable for everyday wear. Iris van Herpen has been creating high fashion with varying degrees of success since 2007, standing out for avant-garde and conceptual designs and the use of innovative materials such as plexiglass and thermoplastic.

Fashion designer Britt Samoson will make an introduction to the film screenings.
